What is BharatGPT?
BharatGPT is a family of Indian-language AI models from CoRover.ai, a conversational AI company based in Bengaluru. CoRover uses the models in its platform for building virtual assistants that work as chatbots, voice bots, video bots, IVR and WhatsApp bots.
The model family started in June 2022 and has since grown through BharatGPT-2.0, BharatGPT-3.0 and BharatGPT-mini, which CoRover describes as a foundation model built from scratch. The newest release it lists is BharatGPT-Instruct, from July 2026.
CoRover says the platform supports more than 120 languages, including 14 or more Indian languages for voice through its integration with the government's BHASHINI language mission. Businesses can add their own documents, FAQs and APIs as a knowledge base and connect ERP and CRM systems.
